This 16-hour course is for those who work, live or play in remote areas and may be more than 30 minutes away from EMS. It expands the concepts in Basic First Aid and gives more detailed information and hands-on skills practice. This class covers assessment and urgent first aid techniques, but not in-depth CPR. A current CPR certification is a prerequisite for this course. WRFA is a 2-year certification. Participants must complete all 16 hours of the class to be certified. It will also provide certification for an adult wanting to take their troop more than 30 minutes away from emergency medical help. Overnight accommodations are available at Icimani for those wishing to stay.
